The author confirmed it was not a yaoi, therefore it is not a yaoi. Simple as that. Many pieces of literature can contain some elements of other genres. However that does not mean it is the main focus. A good example is how some action or horror movies add some comedic scenes, but that doesn't mean that whole movie revolves around them. reply
In my opinion it's not yaoi. I mean there are sex scenes in the book but not all of them are consensual and there's really no feeling between sangwoo and yoon bum when they do it.
