Advice Needed
Background Infromation:
ALrIgHt so- months ago I had a "Yarichin Bitch Club" Phase (im so ashamed of it now, I didn't realize how bad it was) And during this phase I sent innapropriate things to my friends in a groupchat of 5 on imessage. A couple months ago I apologized to all four of them, 2 of them accepted my apology and the other 2 didn't respond. I'm pretty sure 3 of them deleted the groupchat, but I'm not sure if the other did. When apologizing I said i wasn't in the right mind (which is true) and i did it to make them hate me (not true, but i plan on using this when i explain things to my mom if i do).
This week I went on vacation with a "friend" from school I hadn't seen since Halloween last year at first they seemed normal, I decided they would be the first person i told about what i did since they had no reason to tell anyone else i told them all about it and i even told them about my psychotic ex-friend.
Yesterday they randomly said they knew a bad secret of mine, at first I was confused, scared, thought they were joking, and unsure, so i said i don't tell people bad secrets and my worst secret was the fact i sent those things. At first she said she couldn't tell me because the person who told her told her she couldn't say anything and she keeps her promises, but after digging things out of her throughout the day i gathered some decent info. I'm still not exactly sure if she was lying or not because at certain points she was laughing and I'll explain a bit more of why I'm not sure still later.
She told me that back in may, 2 of the people i sent things to went up to her at lunch and showed her the groupchat. AT frist she said they only showed her, then later she said they showed her and the "popular kids". She said she knew why they did this, but couldn't tell me. Later i got out of her that she couldn't tell me because they made her stop being friends with me or else they would have spread a "bad secret of hers" It sounded pretty believable, but what didn't make sense was that these people that I sent these things to, they weren't the type of people to do these things, why would they bother her anyways if they have no relation to her? Also a few months ago I had apologized to them and one of them said it was fine and was making sure i was doing well and said they'd be there if i needed them, but my friend had told me they showed her the things because "they didn't want to be friends with me anymore" which doesn't make sense, why would one of them be nice to me if they didn't want to be friends? My friend has always been quite a liar, so i think shes lying about this. I'm thinking of either confronting her and stop being friends with her or just ignoring her and drifting away, or keeping her close so she's less likely to tell anyone what i did, but at the same time, i honestly dont care if she tells anyone, im switching schools anyways, but if she tells my parents, i'd rather be the one telling them. I still think she'd try to screw me over either way.
For telling people like my mom or therapist options:
Option 1: "I sent some weird innapropriate anime things to my friends from school." No getting into detail about what anime it was, no saying that i liked the anime, no saying it was to make them hate me, just straight i sent weird stuff to kids.
Option 2: "I sent some weird anime things to people from school and pretended to like a weird anime because.. a: i thought it would be funny b: i wanted them to hate me so they wouldn't bother me c: my friend told me it would be funny.
Option 3: The full truth.
Option 4: Blame it on my ex-psychotic friend. Say they convinced me to do it because we wanted to see if they believed it if i pretended to like the weird anime stuff, and somehow they did so i apologized to them a few months later.
Option 5: I sort of sent weird things related to an innapropriate anime, but i didn't really send anything like actually innapropriate, i just sent enough to make it believable that i "liked" the anime because i wanted to see how they would react.
Option 6: Don't say anything and just deny everything.
Option 7: just say "yeah i did that" if people say things.
