It's assumed it hurts more in the ribs, BUT it really depends on the person and their pain tolerance. Both places are sensitive, tho. Better focus on the size: something small and more linear will be softer than something big and painted (if you want something like that, you could do multiples sessions). A butterfly tattoo sounds like a good idea. Make sure you get one that matches you. According to Ink Master, the ribcage will hurt. My tattoo is on my back, left shoulder, it did not hurt. My cousin has many around her ankles, I would think that would hurt but I think she has 4 or 5. It depends on how you handle pain and the location of the tatt......   1 reply

Both of those places are going to hurt. Rib cage - because there's not a lot of fat and it's directly on your bones. Just pinch your inner arm and you'll see why that will hurt. Honestly though, if that's what you want go for it anyway! It is 100% worth the pain. I just got my third one on the side of my wrist, hurt like hell, zero regrets. Howe......   1 reply
