So i will be honest I started reading yaoi when I was a teen. But I feel weird whenever I see or get to know someone who is reading yaoi even before I started it. Like for eg my sis's friend. My sis got into bl but she stayed out of yaoi and she said that to her friend who also reads bls and yaoi too. And her friend just gave this one big two-three pages long list of BLS which had yaoi. Now my sis knowing I read bl and yaoi shows me and I was shocked? That kid had like so many yaoi which were just so psychologically bad for kids to read? I mean I started it when I was over 16? But these kids are like not even 12 yet they reading yaoi? And the ones which contains and depicts heavy violation of human rights and has rape scenes. This is just so weird. And weirder is, I used to enjoy that as well before. Idk man how to tell my sis to behave around this kid cuz all my friends were good. Like at the very least, they never indulged in yaois (cuz no one had a phn just like me until all of us hit 15?) Oh god I'm tired thinking about how kids these days progress much faster
i cant really be suprised or something. i also ended up reading things at an age i probably shouldnt have. but the best thing to do is try to talk to them about it and let the parents know and hopefully monitor them properly. the best thing to do is educate them and give them proper guidance. try not to be cynical they can still change, grow up and mature to be good and well.
those kids are not being watched and monitored properly on the internet I knew of bl at 8 and started reading Yaoi at 10 It's sad I may have some things wrong with me which could have been prevented by my parents actually watching me
