Yall need to stop telling ppl “if you dont like it, dont read it” when someone criticizes your comfort fic or whatever.
Not everyone is going to have your same opinions, and in order to find like-minded individuals, someone will air their grievances with it. And maybe they meet a new friend bc they both didnt like a certain arc in some story.
Like, not everyone has to enjoy every aspect of their favorite story. Real talk, my favorite manga is probably… something by umekoppe. Are those stories for everyone? Absolutely not. No, not even in the slightest. Do i think they’re the perfect masterpieces? No. No. I have my tastes but im not crazy enough to read a drugging one shot and say “ah, the peak of writing” what kind of degenerate would do that?
Anyway, everyone reads things for different reasons so it’s kind of stupid to just tell someone to drop a story if they didnt like a specific part of the story.
Like, obviously it’s different if someone is just hate reading and bitching every chapter. Bc like “honestly, shut up. We get it. You hate this story. Have since chapter one. It’s chapter 30. Shut up or leave.”
But if someone writes a short flippant comment like “wow, this stupid arc is going on for some time” and yall dogpile them to drop it?

I agree. but in some cases, it's like-- the tag is right there, if it's a genre e.g ntr, yaoi, incest, that they know they don't like, y would they read it. if it ain't their cup of tea understandable but the tags r there for a reason

So i went to that one shot and there were a bunch of reviews and comments talking about how disgusting the story was and how it shouldnt be on this website or something…
and i was like “did you.. not read the tags before you read this story? Bc it sounds like you didnt read the tags or the description and went in blind or something… bc the warnings you’re complaining about this not having are there in the description…”
