Manhwa kinda sucks
Is it just me or do BL Manhwas just not hit the same as Mangas? I'm always on the hunt for a story that makes my heart flutter and makes me all giddy. But I feel like Manhwa rarely scratches the itch. With old BL Manga it was either dog garbage or a masterpiece. Nowadays the popular stuff is almost exlusively BL Manhwa whose only selling point is the excessive smut. Don't get me wrong, I've read fantastic manhwam but I feel like majority is just mid. They're also so fucking long, hence they usually drag. I don't mind slow burn, but if I barely root for the couple cause there's no tension I won't put up with170+ chapters.

Yeah for some reason longer mangas always have less rape and actual good plot aside from intercourse, Korean BLs just dont have that a lot of the time. These authors need to step up and cut the bullshit cause if they dont imma have to switch to japan only reply
I think you're just talking about YAOI manhwa, but shounen ai manhwa has been very good for me personally. BL is an umbrella term for the two, as not every BL has smut in it. reply

Many BL Mangas have soft and very giddy vibes where I'm smiling and ENJOYING the plot, the LIKEABLE characters. But when it comes to korean bls it's so hard to find one that actually makes me actually happy to read them.
It's either SA, rape, non con, abusive, manipulative, creepy stalker vibes, too much smut where it's drags for 5 chapter...... reply

Manhwas are just easier to read for me so I tend to read more Manhwas lately (for a while now actually) I also do like the fact that they are long, but yes there are a lot of Manhwas with just smut as the plot and I find that annoying so I also tend to drop a lot of Manhwas ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Agree 100%, also the concept of an artist "let's put a big d, readers will love it", sucks.
Unlike the first time I read, the anticipation after reading a chapter is already gone. reply

For me, I prefer manhwas to mangas bcs mangas are usually only like 6 chapters long with one extra, but manhwas are usually 20-70 chapters and theyre coloured which I like.
HOWEVERR, i do feel like nowadays that so many manhwas are not hitting as hard as they used too! I went on a hiatus from mangago to focus on my studie...... 1 reply
