Why do ya'll mainly read BL/yaoi?
For me I have a bad habit of self inserting in stories where the FMC is bland/has no personality which leads me to not enjoy the story. I cant self insert in yaoi cus im not a guy, so I can read the series at face value even if both MCs are trash/poorly written.
I'm actually a lesbian. I discovered yaoi at a time where I was at war with my identity and didn't want to accept that I liked girls, so I started reading yaoi as sort of confirmation that I did in fact like men.
Of course no matter how much I tried I couldn't be attracted to men, male characters, etc. but I did find BL to be charming. It was a w...... reply
