What things do you like to see/read in BL?
Im putting together lists of ideas to include in my own novels and want to know - In general what are your favorite things to see in BL (can be from anime/manga/webtoon/novels/any media source) or what do you like to see but don't see enough of? (=・ω・=)

I think my favourite thing to see is a deep emotional connection.
I love those intense stories, with a dangerous partner, maybe even obsessed or yandere.
But for the one they are falling for, a protective side is there
And in turn their partner can lean on them
Because ultimately, they have strong bonds of communication (need to have honesty...... 3 reply
I personally like it when the characters are witty and can actually think for themselves. Mafia, enemies to lovers, school life, hurt comfort, Hero x Villain tropes are my faves too. I say this not just in BL stories, but stories in general: A distinctive character/couple who has their own belief, personality, habits, likes, dislikes, opinions, boundaries, communication, and where you cannot always guess what they’re gonna do, and feel like they have their own problems or trauma that it feels kinda real, not those cardboard s...... reply
