Has anyone noticed how much less toxic this site is post shut down?
I say this as a 1000% percent good thing ofc. I remember having to actively ignore the question forum when looking at a manga for risk of seeing literal death threats and s*icide baiting. I genuinely believe that turning off comments, questions, and all other forms of interaction for 2 years was the best thing they could have done. I would much rather see someone get too in detail about their weird personal life or cute picrews rather than all the harassment from before. Anyone else notice this?
Guessing most of the people on mangago were kids who found the site off of insta or tiktak around that time. It did die down, but I do see it occur like once every few weeks reply
i think around the time that mangago shut down the comments, we were still in the middle of a pandemic and people had nothing to do so they'd spend the whole day on here trolling. I also think tiktok was a factor because the site was blowing up during that time causing some of the chaos. But now i think things are a bit better cause people finally ...... reply
There are still lots of weirdo here but it’s definitely better. And I think
1. Lots of those people left or just don’t comment anymore.
2. Some people might have grown up and don’t need to be so hateful and edgy.
3. Lots of people were also banned.
4. There a lot of new people here as well. reply
Yeah it’s quieter. Mix of growing up, no quarantine messing with everyone’s lives, and readers migrating elsewhere. Some people still just noticing we can comment again.
I don’t miss the twelvies we had or the bored trolls. The fights got pretty personal chasing some people to different sites and trying to get them banned here. Some stuff j...... reply
it's not that active anymore. that's why. it's low-key boring.. like yeah there's a higher chance for trolls to spawn but I like when I'm seeing more than 5 users all the time on my feed 1 reply
I think so and I hope it stays like this I know things can be off-topic in some places but it seemed they just wanted to troll and not even bother about the manga reply
