Incest
I think it’s no surprise that bl/ yaoi contains a lot of taboo or problematic themes, but why is incest so common. I don’t even mean step siblings but blood relations. Like I don’t see the appeal and why so many authors would choose incest to be part or the central theme of their stories.
Is it? I think it's just like any niche fetish that is there but not super predominant in BL and other genre shoujo etc. like the boss seme trope. Then again I don't read all BL series so I might missed them out haha. I think it's more in shoujo and otome games pseudo-incest is very common drama trope. reply
