weapons for selfharm
so... my sibling is mentally in a bad state and theyve been doing selfharm. ive been their shoulder to cry on and listen to all their problems. i searched this up on google and no answers so ill ask here.
do you guys know any sharp weapons used for selfharm? i wanna put these weapons as far from my sibling as possible so they can stop. i love them with all my heart but i dont want them to get hurt
box cutters, although anything can be a weapon if used in the right way. Keeping away the sharp objects would be most ideal first. I hope your sibling heals in any pain she could be facing mentally. 1 reply
Anything sharp, lighters, anything that could pierce them e.g earrings, they could also scratch themselves so try to keep their nails short. Just try to stay with them as they could pull on their hair or hit themselves, etc. But most importantly, try to encourage them to get therapy. reply
As someone who also....blades, knives, scissors, any stings (they will probably try to chock themselves.), look for anything that has a sharp edge 1 reply
Anything can be used for sh but I guess it's mostly razor blades and box cutters. I think scissors too (anything sharp basically) but tbh I saw someone sh with a spoon once so hiding everything around them won't actually 100% stop them from doing any kind of self harm. Still, putting the effort to stop them from sh is really nice reply
Honestly you have to urge them to get help and stop hurting themselves. Though, know you can’t make someone do something if they are unwilling, you can only do your best. They need help with the root of the problem, since there will always be knives in a kitchen. It can be much like an addiction actually, and it’s very hard for someone to quit ...... 1 reply
Knives of course lmao (any size) pencils, mirrors, you can use the rug and try and get a rug burn, earrings, erasers, forks, scissors, of course matches/lighters, candle wax and even your own nails if u try hard enough (hope this helps reply
oh my god girl, this is so sad man make sure to keep her away from the obvious stuff ranging from knives to razors to pencils n pens and the less obvious stuff which is going to be hard, but nails, paper even (paper cuts), scissors honestly just anything sharp and obtainable. wish u the best cuz love ya 1 reply
You know those portable scotch tapes with the cutters made of plastic or metal? Yeah uhm also consider that too. Keep that away from your sibling.
And if someone's gonna self-harm, it's not gonna be easy to stop them if they want to do it even if you remove everything that can be used to self-harm. Most people have nails (long or short) and uhm, I...... 1 reply
pencil sharpeners (the blade inside is super easy to get), pencils itself, knives, anything sharp basically
