Does anyone else wonder why GL is so less popular than BL?
Even on here, 228 pages of the yaoi genre and only 48 pages for the yuri genre. And that doesnt even count for the amount of GLs that are tagged wrong and feature no WLW couples, plots, or even characters. Like damn i click on a comic tagged yuri and its actually a story of 2 girls fighting over 1 guy I AM NOT INTERESTED!!!
This website is primarily female, women tend to read MLM stories because its easier to project their fantasies onto male characters without any guilt. The romance genre has a primarily female audience anyway so BL will be in more abundance. Because BL is mostly written by women, while GL is mostly written by men. And it shows in story telling, character design and character traits. Stories written by women are in general more heartfelt, intimate and deep. But even if it's just some dumbass story, there seems to be more substance to it then to most GLs.

As a lesbian who only reads GLs on here I genuinely don’t think it has anything to do with wlw fetishization cuz most of the gls I’ve seen are written by women and I like em.

well im guessing its both a mix of fetishization of the MLM genre (wether its purely romantic or contains sexual stuff), due to the fact that women (bcs its mostly women on this website) tend to appreciate seeing men being tender (although a lot of the stuff is literally straight toxic romance with two dicks) and a general disinterest of the public...... reply
