How to stop procrastinating???
Does anyone have any tips or something bc I was supposed to catch up on hw over thanksgiving break but I never did. Now I’m entering the final two weeks of this semester. I got a 5 pg paper way past due and an upcoming speech.. help a girl out y’all
I just guilt trip myself into getting work done like “if I don’t do this now I’ll regret it later…” or I actually sit in front of the work I have to do and I get to it eventually. At least that’s what works for me, wish you good luck (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Go to a public place like a park a library or even your living room if you live with other people, put on some headphones and music and begin doing your homework. The people there would be a little reminder of what you're supposed to be doing and it helps you stay on track as well as hold yourself accountable. Have you tried the pomodoro method? Basically, you focus on work intensely for 25min then take a 5min break. Then do another 25min work session and another 5min break. Calm down and place the work in your face, don't play any music yet only look for the books and articles you need, it will help you to calm your self. I recommend having a tv series rather than music it sound weird but it works, look for tv series with weird behaviors i recommend reality tv series, i used it for my own assignment that was due in 3 ...... reply
To fight procrastination I use 5 tips:
- small reward
- set goals by hours of work rather than advancement
- best tip = measure the real time you spend day by day
- work in the presence of others (library etc)
- when I can't even start = write a draft first, however dumb or rushed

strictly spearate rest space from work space, best thing to do is to plan going for a few hours in rhe library every afternoon and do your things there, the fact that there are other students around studying boosts motivation but if they annoy you you can choose other quiet spaces.
