Roux Roux 2020-04-08 09:39:08 About coming out of the closet
I've accidentally came out twice to my parents and they still don't believe me.

The first time was when I had finally accepted I was bisexual after about 2-3 years of struggling/confusion. I wasn't even in highschool yet.
I came out to one of my guy friends that I really trusted. He kept teasing me (like low-key being really sexual, sending me boob pics etc. Even tho he was almost done with high school. Yeah later found out he was kind of a perv. We cut ties). Well, my parents accidentally saw the messages. I basically got a talk that went like, "You're not bi, it's a phase. You've always liked boys. Can you even eat out a pussy-" and I was so tired of listening to them that I said I lied. Which was a terrible decision, but I was pretty depressed and lectures/yelling did not help.
The 2nd time was actually 2019, in high school. I recame out (LONG STORY). It went, semi better? Probably cause I accidentally admitted to watching porn as well which was enough to say I know a pussy. The conversation went like this,
"You're still saying that? Most women don't shave ya know!" (I'm a germophobe this is to 'deter me')
"Most guys don't either."
"But you know what c o m es o u t!"
"Yeah, but do you know what comes out of guys?"
"I also found out you dated a girl-"
"Yep."
Like,, they aren't really saying much about it anymore. I'm pretty sure they still don't believe me and think I'll grow out of it. OH another convo I had with them after,
My dumbass: "I STILL LIKE GUYS sometimes. YOU mAYBE CAN STILL HAVE A SON IN LAW" and "yEAH I WATCH PORN" I literally yelled it.

Let's be honest I prefer girls so that son in law was an empty idea :')

For reference, my parents aren't homophobic. They have some LGBTQ friends. They're trying to keep me quiet because most of my family is Christian, and if the rest of my family found out, I'd be screwed.

I've came out to a few friends and they were very accepting. My brother has known since the beginning and we went through a rough patch about for a while, but he 100% knows I love girls and is so supportive.

Either way, I would say, be pretty sure of what you feel. I know that the easiest way for me to have came out is by saying I have a girlfriend (ie straights don't have to come out. It's just, oh I'm dating blah, so why should I have to come out formally- plus, your friends have a hard time arguing against this or ppl asking u on dates). I WOULD NOT accidentally get found out or come out to someone who will cause you stress about it (unless you're independent) .
