Venting on mangago user

Kei Kei 2024-01-13 16:27:10 About using mangago
I have been noticing it lately that people keep sharing mangago widely like they do some good deeds. I know you want people to have easy access but with that sharing it's also can harm mangago. I'm not saying u can't share the web, you can but do it secretly and not publicly. If you are mangago user u know how hard for us to wait for webmaster to fix all the problems before we can use "question" again. Just stop sharing this website widley, and to those, who meet someone that like to share this website widely please beat them up! And to you who like to share mangago freely f u! You should just stop using mangago and go elsewhere, we don't need you. Yes i aware i read this illegally and so do you, so by sharing this website widely just dumb thing to done. My final word i hate those stupid people and love the webmaster (≧▽≦)

Ppl have been doing this for so many years now and it has always gone badly literally from the late 2010s to now. It hasn’t changed, just more ppl know about it, especially after covid, so more people talk about it. They just don’t listen (and even if they do, someone else does it instead). And honestly some ppl just have no concept of consequences

I remember once describing it as like a form of self-harm bc they enjoy reading a certain manhwa on a site yet share it in a way that will get it and potentially the site removed another example is they like a certain scanlation of a manhwa by a group that specifies “DO NOT SHARE OR WE’LL DROP IT” and then they go ahead and post the group’s scanlations all over IG on their stories and profile. Sometimes I think it’s just a (misguided) attempt at chatting abt their interests with others who share them on social media, but also for others I think just the potential for getting clout makes the risk worth it bc getting that much traction can be addictive (specifically the people sharing it like it’s a good deed)

I think it is partially bc this is such an interactive place, they just see it as another form of social media and forget. Ppl talk on here like they do on twt and t!ktok and they take their discussions abt it there too. They think it’s fine bc it’s becoming more common knowledge and it’s still up and working so they assume it will always be that way. (Like “well if it was gonna go down from this it would already be down! everyone else is discussing it publicly too!”). It’s discussed like it’s just another social media site eg. if it goes down, ppl flock to twt to complain and hope it comes back up like they would if IG went down. I saw this firsthand back when it went down and was super shocked lmaooo

It’s really interesting though bc in my experience this has been limited to english-speaking sites. I also look at some non-english sites (not used by the english-speaking ppl) and people on there are low-key as fuck! even on forums on the sites they are careful and anonymous (not even allowing pictures of peoples’ pets bc it could expose their identities). On here some ppl post almost their entire identities
