Parents and apologizing
Do your parents apologize? Apparently only white parents say sorry, idk I was talking to some of my friends who aren’t white the other day and apparently their parents have never uttered the word sorry out of their mouth, kinda weird to me cause whenever I argue with my parents a few hours will go by and we’ll apologize to one another. And if they don’t apologize what do they do? do you guys just go back to normal after a few hours? isn’t that really awkward ?
My mom never apologise unless I tell her to say so, after any argument a few hours go by and everything’s fine like it never happened. She is white, I am white. So I feel like it’s a POC- and mentally ill parents thing (I don’t say all poc parents are like this before anyone comes for me) 2 reply
