Parents and apologizing
Do your parents apologize? Apparently only white parents say sorry, idk I was talking to some of my friends who aren’t white the other day and apparently their parents have never uttered the word sorry out of their mouth, kinda weird to me cause whenever I argue with my parents a few hours will go by and we’ll apologize to one another. And if they don’t apologize what do they do? do you guys just go back to normal after a few hours? isn’t that really awkward ?
I'm a southeast asian living in a southeast asian household. For me and my mom, after an argument, it just goes quiet.
Of course, I would walk to my room and close the door. So I can release the heat that was building up and be at peace in my own personal space.
