Either fading out aka both ghosting each other or talking to them. I'd recommend the latter as you have no guarantee that your friend also wants to end the relationship. In that case you'd be hurting their feelings and it'll just end worse and with unanswered questions. But since you have your reasons properly explaining why you don't like spending...... reply
