People forget that human are capable of growth
I sometimes found an incredible manga/hwa/hua where the plots is really good but people trashing it cause of certain character they dont find "good". for example as u already familiar in some bl, there usually some seme who sa/abused the uke in the beginning of chapters (drunk, forced, etc). ofc they're bad. again, OFC THEY ARE BAD (I'm not trying to be "r@pist apologetic" or something else u might accuse me to be). but then in a good story there would be remorse, regret, asking for forgiveness, making up for it & learn from the mistake. I think that's a good thing. there is GROWTH & CHARACTERS DEVELOPMENT. IM NOT SAYING EVERY STORY HAS THESE GOOD DEVELOPMENT. some just really is a trash that they are. but people so fast too judge these days, they don't finished the story, saw the slightest sa in a ch, drop it, & proceed to trash on it. I'd say, why don't u read it throughly first so u can fully assess whether it's really bad or it's turn out good.
i would've understood your point if it was not about rape. rape is a purely deplorable act, there is absolutely 0 justification for it, no excuse or no scenario where it is needed. it's just completely black. at some point, the rapist might feel remorse or whatever, but their feelings matter shit because they still traumatised and humiliated an ent...... 2 reply

In all serious i am also one of those people who drops a story if the ML sa/abuses the MC because most of the time there isn’t good “growth” or “character development” and even when there is i am sick and tired of stories where the MC goes back...... reply
I understand your take on how character development can happen and change a character for the better, BUT I believe that vile acts such as rape and murder can almost NEVER result in a good person in the end, as these acts can only be performed by people who are truly depraved. Unless its a psychological story, (which even still doesn't excuse it) the author adding r/pe into a perfectly fine story is so fucking unnecessary..
Like if you're not trying to educate people or help those who have gone thru SA (by helping them realize they aren't alone) in your stories then its unnecessary. (literally harada LMAO)
