Convince me why should I or should I not get a tongue piercing
I’ve always been obsessed with piercings, especially tongue piercings. For a long time I really wanted to get one but I’m really scared because it’s a sensitive area and could hurt like hell. So scare me to the point I wouldn’t want to do it or convince me we live only once and I should get one. Just help please
I can definitely give you reasons why you shouldn’t :3
- it can chip your teeth
- you can have permanent nerve damage
- you can get a bacterial infection
- you could lose your sense of taste
- your gums could recede
- it can change your speech patterns
- it can cause excessive drooling
- your tongue could scar or swell

Its not a permanent piercing and once you remove the actual piercing piece itll close up within 2 months (for older piercings, younger ones close up even faster). If anything you should try to get it but dont be surprised if they say you dont have the piercing "sweet spot" because not everybody has the right vein or nerve placement in their tongue ...... reply
So theres this thing called piercing infection n if the person who's responsible for piercing doesn't sterilize the needle n keeps reusing it, u might end up getting infection in ur tongue n then those cells might end up getting rotten, like a living, but dead tissue n then there's even a slight chance of getting cancer there, if things take worse ...... reply
Honestly you do you, like imo I would never get a tongue piercing just cause I dont think it always turns out good on everyone BUT if you like them get them because they do suit many people there are just the unfortunate few which it doesn't suit! It's not that bad, just take care of it properly and get it done by a professional. Tongue piercings heal up in basically no time and usually don't hurt that much, if at all. I'd recommend doing it if your parents won't beat your ass for it and you have the money, and if you don't like it you can always take it out. Just be careful with getting add...... reply
