Is it just me or has the discussion around the usage of those terms COMPLETELY died down?
It has always been widely spread but damn, at least we were talking about it. Now everyone's just using it, no matter what the content is. Like can we please stop calling fluff BL guys uke/seme????? As if you'd even know how they fuck.... and why do you care
People here have a stick up their ass huh. I don’t really use the term but it’s funny seeing the reactions to people using it. It’s not like it’s derogatory or anything, it’s just another word for top/bottom. As long as u don’t call a real person that, then I think it’s fine. reply

Omg, there used to be this HUGE debate back in 2020/2021 where people would argue that these terms were bad to use because it was labeling characters by their positions in sex, which I totally agree with. I was guilty of using it back then as well, and rarely use them except the couple of times that they slip out, which I swear I'm trying to fix. N...... 1 reply
I never thought of it as that serious. I know people are all like "But real life mlm don't like the terms." And the real life mlm is some white person using a Japanese name.

My goodness, being in many communities, i notice people always have issues with something thats like a nothingburger. like, YAOI, UKE, SEME, THEY ARE JAPANESE TERMS THAT WE ADOPT BECAUSE GUESS WHAT? I think it died down here bc people realized (from the hundreds of debates about how harmful and weird it is on here) that it's kinda weird to use sex positions to refer to a person (though some people still use it unknowingly--dont go after them though since most of them mean no harm), but in other countries and other socmed/sites a lot of people ...... reply

I still use uke / seme , top / bottom on yaoi or Shounen Ai where they had s3x
MC / ML on Shounen Ai and Romance where the MC is female
MC / FL on Romance where the MC is Male reply
