is 16 and 18 a bad age gap?? like im 16 and ik this dude thats like 18. he keeps making jokes abt us together but im like “the age gap is kinda weird tho” and he keeps saying its only 2 years. is it actually bad or am i actually overthinking and being sensitive. i don’t plan on dating this dude btw i was just thinking
Personally I don’t think 16 and 18 is weird. I think a lot of people just get overly sensitive when it comes to age gaps. But 18 years old dating 15 or below is definitely weird. reply
I personally think the age gap is fine but the fact that he keeps making these jokes after you expressed your discomfort and that you don’t feel that way towards him is not. He should’ve stop making jokes the moment you said the age gap is kinda weird reply
I don't think it's weird. But it also depends on whether it's closer to 3 or 1 year.
Also on whether you're in similar situations. Is he in your class? If he's graduating he's gonna be in college/work/whatever soon while you stay in school and that creates difficult power dynamics.

Its not. I had classmates who are also 2-3 years age gap with me and we were fine. Maybe it's because you're only 16 that this is your viewpoint but as you grow older, you start to realize how small the age gap was and it's not bad like 10 year old age gap between a minor and an adult.
