Lack of interest for mangas
I feel like this site is heavily dominated by korean manhwas now. Do you guys still read mangas (even non bl)? Why is it not as popular as korean manhwas here? I remember when at least some manga titles were equally very popular here like finder series, yarichin bitch club, koisuru boukun, megumi tsumugi, etc. But now there's only like one or two mangas that only shows up for a couple of days on the front page. Even on the feeds section i see more people talk about manhwas than mangas. Why is that?
Maybe bcs manhwas are colored more often? People like that a lot these days maybe, i still REALLY love mangas. It's amazing how much color and emotion can be expresed using monotone colors.. 2 reply
i think japanese media is being overshadowed by korean media in general. like for example: kpop and jpop, jdrama and kdrama, and like stated - manga and manhwa. really the only thing japanese media have over korean are their animated series.
also, I feel like the art in manhwa is sometimes better than mangas, especially if u take into considerati...... 3 reply
I love mangas but a story that gets an update once a month really just cannot compare to something that often starts out with a mass release of 20 chapters (if we’re talking kkp manhwas) and then one new chapter every WEEK (and maintains high quality). Like it’s obvious that as a majority of ppl love binge reading, korean manhwas are what they ...... 1 reply
I've been thinking about it. I think it's because there are many new users aka minors here. They like to read manhwa that has 'more chapters' and fulfilling their korean big daddy energy lol jk. Of course tik tok definitely takes part here. It's also manga doesn't update everyday, while there are manhwa so many manhwa updates everyday.

I still love mangas!! I feel that koreans are dominating the online comic at the moment, and since online comics have less barriers both for readers (easy finding, easy buying, easy pirating) and for authors (easy publishing, accesible tools for efficient creation and co-creation, large reach), it just has overwhelmed the industry, at least to its ...... reply
I think people are missing the fact that a LOT of the manhwa that gets posted here is already available on an official platform in english. takes a lot longer to translate/clean/typeset a thirty page chapter of manga than it does to download a few images and reupload them.
I really don't like comics in the long format though so I may just be a bi...... reply
Cause I feel like I came here for the Korean manhwa maybe? Cause I’ve been reading mangas all my life and they’re really easy to get your hands on I have atleast 5 other sites with any mangas or anime I want but Korean manhwa have less sites where you can freely get them so I feel like it’s that for me reply
Their format doesn’t translate well into mobile because it’s not MADE for mobile consumption. Formatting that is godly on paper will look like squished clutterdness on our tiny phone screens. Nowadays mangakas have been trying to mix the old format of black and white with modern Korean paneling, but it looses when it doesn’t have any color, w...... reply
The updates I look forward to the most are mangas, I'm following bsd, csm & gokurakugai closely and the monthly waiting game always kills me (especially bsd) 1 reply
i only read manga most of the time because they're short and i don't have to scroll much. also the possibility of owning the physical copy of manga is high + good price . sad that most of the manhwa that i love dont have a physical copy reply
