People empathize with characters too often. Like why are you writing a paragraph defending a character who's sad backstory is literally only there to justify their shitty personality? It doesn't add depth to a character, it just makes you pity them enough to think they're likable because the author can't write actually likeable or interesting chara...... 5 reply
