are you getting bored?
hello i’m 21 years old and i have been reading yaoi since i was a 7th grader lol. Is anyone else starting to feel like they’re growing out of this phase? for me im getting deathly bored of it because ive been here for so long, and i am tired of chasing the high i once had when i first discovered this website. the storylines are boring and childish now i don’t know if its because im a grown woman or what lol
It's probably just a case of over reading the same genre, it's like food if you eat the same foodcuz u like it over n over again you're gonna get sick of it, for now try to read someother genres (gl/straight/action etc.) and just leave bl to marinate a lil once you get away from them for a while n start reading them at a normal rate you'll be happy...... reply
honestly respect for holding out so long. i also started in 7th grade and was already over it by 10th grade. i couldn’t tell u how or why i fell out but nowadays i find myself actively avoiding yaoi, like i’ll probably reread one every other month. it just doesn’t hit anymore :(( reply
Hi honestly you've probably just read most things at this point. I get bored of reading a certain genre quite often. What helps is moving on reading some other genres for a while. Then when I see a yaoi that interests me, I hop right back in and enjoy myself again.

I also started reading around middle school and I was into yaoi a lot but these days I feel that they are boring. It's the same plot, the characters always look the same. I'm actually now into webtoons about straight romance or webtoons about beefy man for some reason haha. But it does get boring if you read the same genre over and over again 1 reply

As someone who is almost double your age and has been reading it for as long as you've been alive, too much of a good thing does that to you. But, aside from that, quality has been dropping significantly, the stories are getting worse and worse, the smexy scenes are starting to get super shallow and it's very rare that a yaoi I read has an impact o...... 1 reply
Switch to novels, most BL's that aren’t adaptations are straight up shit. While some adaptations are still shit, a lot of them are one of the best in the genre.
