I'm homophobic I guess
I had this crazy encounter with someone I just met. They looked like a guy, dressed like a guy, and had a super deep voice. I even complimented their outfit, saying "Hey man, where did you get that outfit?" and later told my friend how awesome "he" looked. Next thing I knew, they're accusing me of being homophobic for not asking about their pronouns first. I tried to explain that I assumed because they looked like a dude, but things quickly turned into a whole argument about pronouns and stuff. It got even more heated when they started implying that using "man" was offensive. It got me thinking - do pronouns really matter that much? LIKE WHAT SHE/HER DO TO YOURSELF IF YOUR TOO CONSCIOUS YOU HAVE A DICK oh + he look like homophobic because he's embarassing gay person on the way he act
Most trans people or androgynous people are used to getting misgendered and pretty chill about it.
So don’t think this experience is the norm. If you actually had this experience.
TBH you should research the LGBTQ community more and gain some perspective, because this is pretty tone deaf. reply
