i think a mixture of the two is the most interesting but i'm leaning towards friends to lovers bc the pda codependency and pining always gets me lmao what do yall think?

Omg the potential as enemies and all the tension but the fact that as rivals/enemies they know each other best. And then something happens and they realize everything they have in common and then it’s the most wholesome, heartwarming and genuine friendship out there.

I like both but I'll always have a special place to certain enemies to lovers stories, especially when written well, but then friends to lovers are usually my fav, but never work out (i'm a victim of childhood friends) Ngl I love the best friends to lovers trope the most lmao

Both. Enemies have that tension to them, they know the worst of the worst sides to you, and they still fell for you. That kind of love will not die down easily, not after they fought it for so long and yet it never stopped. They will be your mirror and when you two get together you will see how much you both grew since then.
