Empathy isn't a trend on tiktok yet, we gotta wait for them lol. Currently the trend is hiding racism and misogyny through 'jokes', like at this point just call me a slur 2 reply
Edgy like "they don't know I'm actually batman" or edgy like "I have just been thrust forth into a world that hates me and my future"? I honestly have no idea what you're talking about, so it might be just you fam. 2 reply
I mostly see the kind of 'edgy' behaviour on teens, usually 15-18. I don't know about your experience with people suddenly becoming edgy when they turn 18 years old though, but I'm guessing they're probably actually younger teenagers posing as 18-year-olds so the internet has to accept them or something. 2 reply
I feel like the internet has always been edgy, people say anything they want without thinking how their words may affect others. Also not sure about the 18 year olds but the amount of edgy kids I've been seeing, I'm more worried about the young teens because you can't ever have a logical conversation with them and their vocabulary is a mess. reply
