what are the qualities you look for in FL's? any pet peeves or requirements?
personally my favorite type of fl is one who starts off naive and weak but learns fo be independent as the story goes on (like yona from yotd or psyche from your throne)
i hate hate hate it when theyre incredibly dense and the story pretends like that side of them is supposed to be charming. the "the fact that im not aware of my appeal is my appeal" type. that katarina bitch gave me anger issues
I love, love, love female protagonists with facades. That can never be their true selves around other people. I love you Ruby, I love you Shuri and I love you Penelope. Female protagonists that aren't easy to love and can't love easily. Female protagonists who's presence doesn't make everyone's lives easier, but rather more difficult, more painful,...... 2 reply
