My parents think I’m a lesbian and I’m straight
My mom told me that both her and my dad think that I’m a lesbian because all of my friends are in the LGBT+ community somehow or another. I’m straight and I feel like I’ve told her so many times. She says I’m obsessed with gay people and it’s like no... I just like RuPaul’s Drag Race sometimes!
Also, not sure if this is relevant but I live in a conservative household and I thought my mom was pretty accepting but the more I listen maybe not.
Am I wrong to feel a little insulted that she doesn’t believe me?
ngl u sound like the average straight girl to me. explain to her that in this day and age its common for straight girls to be interested in mlm (man-loving-man) culture. i really just don't think she understands what being queer entails, so don't take offense in it (being called a lesbian isn't an insult, just explain the truth!) just tell her plai...... reply
