I had a coworker rec a manga to me last week. He’s older(50s) and used “loli” to describe the main character.
Honestly, I haven’t heard that term in so long, I kinda forgot what it meant but I’m worried that it is associated w shota. Esp since I work w the dude
ew that's fucking disgusting! loli refers to little girls, so if you can, try to get the name of the manga and report him to HR for recommending material that contain exploitative content. if that’s not possible, be cautious around him and avoid engaging with him. make it clear that you’re not someone who would tolerate or enjoy CP content 1 reply

It can generally refer to a short childlike female character, it doesn’t have to be a child it can be some 1000year old demon or something but it is generally understood that they are child coded.

Well, I mean Krul (my profile pic) is a loli character from Owari No Seraph, but she's a vampire and probably is 1,000-year-old or older. Some loli characters are adults that just look much younger, there was even this loli character who was the mom of the MC of this one anime I knew and another loli character I knew was actually a teacher from ano...... reply
