Yall so I'm confused. So I'm a guy and studying in college and I have this one classmate who's also a guy who keeps approaching me and complementing me and stuff. At first it was like normal, he often complements my looks and my brains. We're not that close so whenever he compliments me I feel icky.
Recently, we had a debate on a law sub (Oblicon), and fortunately, I won. Later, I found out that he lost on purpose so that I could win (he admitted it to me). Funny thing is that he has a girlfriend yet he's acting like this. What do I do yall, I hate confrontations.
Note, we're kinda rivals when it comes to academics since our university is strict when it comes to grading.
I get platonic 'friend' crushes. I'm also hella awkward, can't communicate my actual thoughts very well, and suck making friends in general. So when I've got a friend crush, I just try to lovebomb them with compliments and favors and bits of attention. I tell myself if I smother them with kindness, they'll surely understand I want to be friends ...... 1 reply
