What's the funniest historical story you know?
Mine has to be The War of the Oaken Bucket basically it's this medieval conflict, it began when soldiers from Modena, Italy, stole a wooden bucket from Bologna. Enraged by the theft, Bologna declared war on Modena, resulting in the Battle of Zappolino. Modena won and kept the bucket as a trophy. To this day, the original bucket is still kept in Modena’s city hall lol
that one story of the ancient chinese poet who wrote a poem about being so enlightened that not even the eight winds could move him, sent it to his master who lived down the river and the master knew he was full of it so he scribbled the word 'fart' on the poem and sent it back. the poet was so upset he got on a boat and went to confront the master...... reply
