Manga or manhwa

I have been reading manga way longer than manhwa and I didn't even know these Korean comics existed until I found out they did when I started reading from Mangago and to be honest I enjoy both manga and manhwa, I really love comics, and I've been reading comics for a long time. i love both for different reasons. and the underdog manhua lmfao but yeah i'll talk abt them in relation to bl and gl. manga: typically short and sweet, formatted in pages, can be super creative with panelling. manhwa: long, coloured, scroll format and usually has a shit ton of smut lol. the art in both manhwa and manga are typically beautiful, but......   1 reply

I read more manhwas these days bc I’m brainrotted (not saying all manhwas are brainrot btw its just a lot of them fall into the Instant satisfaction, barely a plot category) but I would pick manga. I find that there is more variety in style and the plot is generally better. Also I find that a lot of mangas are more willing to let their characters......   reply

I remember back i the day when there was a real divide between manga and all other readers (people who preferred manwha or manhua), but then all of a sudden webcomics snuck in and took the world by storm. In manga, the art is generally better, also the manga layout is better for physical copies, manhwa vertical layout feels too empty sometimes. Manga is always interesting because there's just so much going on in one panel lmao, but I do read both, so it depends on the story ig.   reply

This got me really curious about which I like more , so I went and did an analysis from one of my list where I keep my fav already read comics and it turns out ... MANHWA- 40% MANGA- 33% MANHUA - 18% ... I find good MANHWAS quite often which have good plots and unique stories + beautiful artstyle. MANGAS , yes have good storylines too but since......   reply
