Yeah but only if it’s actually a “friendship”. You should feel happy interacting with them and vice versa. If it’s toxic, one sided, stressful, draining, whatever, then it’s not worth it just like in real life. I made more friends online than i've ever have irl and people that actually share the same interests as me. Ever since I was little I believed in online friendships, all my irl friendships disappoint. Last time I had a real friend irl was in 6th grade. But I always had online friends to talk to soooo. reply
YES 100% YES (just be careful who you choose to get close to!! some crazy ppl out there) - but almost all my friendships are online i would be lonely as fuck without them reply

I'm very awkward and socially incompetent irl, like it's genuinely concerning I have to roleplay having normal conversations in therapy, so I'm very very bad at making friends. I'm much more confident online and I feel like I can be myself more and as a result most of my closest friendships have been made online.
