Any genres you've outgrown?
I used to really like yandere/stalker stuff when I was younger, so sometimes I find multiple stories in that genre, read the first chapter, go "ew that guy is an annoying creep" and continue searching until I realized, annoying creep is going to appear in every story of the annoying creep genre. What about you?
villainess reincarnation when the MC transmigrated into a novel they last read. It’s SO boring. Always the same ass story either ”i dont want to change the storyline!” or ”im gonna change the storyline!” and whenever the characters fell for them theyll say stuffs like ”but ure supposed to be with the mc!” 1 reply
I used to like isekai when it first became popular but omg I really don’t know anymore, like I’ll still read it but some are so predictable like
He dies but it was an accident and gets the appraisal power which makes him get rare items and befriend people in the kingdom then meets a beast girl and finds out slavery is a thing so he frees them...... reply
This is more of the Wattpad side- I've outgrown the YN Phase...
Like I used to like it but it was tough to find a YN story with no romance and just a choose-your-own-adventure one :'(

Most mainstream shonen. Granted, I’m way past that age, but I tried reading Blue Lock because it sounded interesting and I like soccer, but I read the first few chapters and I just couldn’t get over the ridiculousness of the premise. Maybe I’ll try the anime or the movie.
This is not a genre, but a trope, but wishy-washy characters (usually ...... 1 reply
Tropes more than anything
• huge age differences
• weak, small bottoms
• anything with animal attributes(cat ears etc)
• the big one I’ve phased out of is high school romance… I’ll read it every now and again but it’s just not my thing ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
• Cinderella tropes. I’m def bored of those now
• WET SAND REIGNITED...... reply
bl, gore, smut and ero guro too, I used to read the most fked up shit as a kid, it felt satisfying. I still read horror and do like a little gore sometimes but I've just grown out of it. Used to be an avid bl reader, now it's not my prime reading material. One thing I will never grow out of is the "yandere/stalker fantasy" it's a guilty pleasure reply
childhood friends to lovers trope... for some reason i used to really like that trope whether for straight romance or BL. it's not like i was projecting or anything i don't have any childhood friends that i had a crush on. i think younger me had a very idealized version of what love should be like (pure, youthful) and i wanted to fantasize about it...... reply
