Hey, dumb question, but do I need to play League of Legends or anything to understand the show? I saw it on Netflix and was worried I’d jump into it with no lore or context.
Hi, no you don’t need to play league at all. The show is connected to league, but some of the things that happen in arcane aren’t exactly canon in league anyway
Uhhh, yes and no. I have never played the game and don’t plan too(I’m being tempted by the new skins though…), but there is some lore that you won’t fully understand unless you play the game, but you can easily just search up what you don’t understand! And by the end of the show, you’ll most likely understand almost everything that happened.
never played lol myself but had a friend who played it a lot and he told me that arcane definitely doesn't need you to know game knowledge to enjoy it, He did say though that if you do know there's small easter eggs hidden around the series that one might know from the game. And I can attest to it as the story works on its own form the game and it's definitely amazing. So definitely try it out! I hope this answers your question!

no! i watched both seasons w/o knowing anything abt the game n i understood a lot for the most part
