Does the beginning have a beginning? Tldr; what do you guys think came before the Big Bang or god?
I was reading all the answers to the “what happens after death?” Question and I kind of had a mini existential crisis. Ok I’m gonna give some background here but I was raised religious (I wasn’t even allowed to leave my bed without praying) but I never believed in god even when I was a child. When I was 5 or 6 I would read my little books about space and sort of force myself to have existential crises. My question would always be, “what came before the Big Bang?” Or if we factor in god, “what came before god?” I did enough research on it to figure out that the human mind cannot perceive the things that happen outside its understanding of space/time. What do you guys feel about this?

The beginning has no beginning, because it is THE beginning. Before the beginning there was nothing. Nothing existed, and then, *poof!* something existed. Simple as that. 2 reply
i think it's normal to ask and wonder about these things...
but also to not think too too hard on it and just enjoy life everyday. because what you said is valid about things being beyond our perception, our small tiny world when there is a vast universe, even cosmos, even beyond that, out there. maybe a god or gods are not what we even think the...... reply
Everytime I ask myself these types of questions I counter-attack them with "Does the Pope shit in the woods?" as in it's a question with an answer that's best left unknown LMAOOOO reply
