Any cinephiles here???
How do you find good movies to watch??, something under appreciated or indie. I'm tired of my self proclaimed cinephile friends recommending me the same shit that is actually not as "underrated" as they like to think. I'm looking for smthing straight from the trenches, a hidden gem. Preferences: absolutely any genre from body horror to slice of life to erotica idgaf doesn't necessarily have to be in english, my brain prefers subtitles.
You should check out the movies that the YouTube channel "I'm Cyborg And That's Ok" uploads edits of
I've found stuff that barely exists on even pirated stuff from there reply

I also like following blogs/social media by movie services, like criterion and mubi, and you can also always follow letterboxd and see what...... reply
It's honestly hard to find a good movie "from the trenches" xD i have watched a tonne of indie made movies and most I couldn't even sit through to the end.
These recommendations of mine (off the top of my head) are underrated, but i wouldn't really call all of them indie or from the trenches, as they clearly had some sort of a decent budget.
