How do you find good movies to watch??, something under appreciated or indie. I'm tired of my self proclaimed cinephile friends recommending me the same shit that is actually not as "underrated" as they like to think. I'm looking for smthing straight from the trenches, a hidden gem. Preferences: absolutely any genre from body horror to slice of life to erotica idgaf doesn't necessarily have to be in english, my brain prefers subtitles.
"The last emperor" (if you haven't watched it already) is a movie about the last emperor of China he was two when he was forced out. He endured conditions worse than the average citizen simply for being royal. Its cinematography is illegal today the palace that they use is no longer open to the public. it's a beautifully shot film. I don't know eve...... 1 reply
