Is it really that hard to write female characters in shonen

A little rant but, I get annoyed when I'm reading or watching a shounen and all of the male characters are like top-tier and well-written, then the female characters are barely surface level. Like, I know ppl r just gonna chalk it up to the genre it meant for boys or sum shit. But, is it that hard? Like, idk maybe I don't understand it cause I'm a girl, but how can you write one with these complex backstories and great character arcs and the other you struggling ? Especially if she's one of the MAIN CHARACTERS. Like, I just don't understand it, and if she does have an arc a guy is always involved! Also, why is it that when the main character is a trio of 2 boys and 1 girl she is almost always severely weaker than them? Like why can't she be on the same level? For example Sakura, she got placed in a group with reincarnated gods. Why did they set her up like that ? I do like the idea of her training to get stronger but bro, they barely showed it! Anyway, that's my little rant I just want to hear other ppls opinions on it.
