I learnt about yaoi when I was around 8 but didn't understand the definition until I eventually learnt what it meant as I grew up. I officially read/watched my first yaoi when I was maybe 11 or 12 and I didnt think much of it at first since boy and boy 'activities' was pretty common to me as I have a lot of gay uncles. ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ reply
