DIAGNOSE ME
Okay so, I’ve had pain in my lower thigh, leg, and knee for the past week (since last Sunday) and we don’t know what’s wrong. The only thing I can think of is that I did a bunch of standing that weekend but like, that’s all I did. Stand. So idk what it is. Went to the doctor on Thursday and she said to rest it, Ice it, and wrap it in compression bandages. Well I’ve been doing that and still hardly any change. My whole leg is swollen, I can’t walk on it so I’m limping everywhere, and it feels like it’s gonna like, dislocate or something. Like extremely uncomfortable pressure and dull pain. So like, do I have 5 days to live or what?!
Serious answer:
It's hard to say without an Xray, an ultrasound, blood tests or at least a close look, but by what you have mentioned, it could be a bad strain or ligament tear, but I don't think either those explain the swelling. Perhaps compartment syndrome. But my go to would be Thrombosis. A doppler ultrasound would tell us if that's the case....... 1 reply
