Why follow other users here?

If they have cool recs/likes similar things I do I follow them, and if someone follows me, I check their account and decide whether to follow them back or not.   reply

I follow them for their reading lists, lists, albums, etc. Or if I just like their general vibe or see that we have similar interests. I have made some friends in this site, some of y'all are actually really nice. If I wanna befriend someone from here, I usually ask for their socials so it's easier to talk there. Mggo dm system is not that good   reply
