fetishizing gay men (a follow up)
ok listen up... i spoke wrong so i figure ill give you some background on who i am before i speak out about the misunderstanding.. im a gay male im also trans, and i do enjoy the mlm genre and adore the amazing writers who put their time and effort into making the webtoons, comics, manhwa, (etc) but what i meant to say earlier was, SOME fujoshis are annoying not all that message was directed towards the toxicity that they bring to the community. I wasnt trying to say Only the mlm community has the right to read this genre. i was simply trying to bring up the topic of these toxic fujoshis and how they are not welcomed if youre an unproblemic fujoshi then i applaud you. Abd i brought the wlw comunity up because they also get fetishized but what i really should have said was if your of any sexual orientation not just designated ones. with that part out of the way im also getting backlash for what said about the sex scenes , and damn lemme tell you guys boi do i enjoy a good sex scene and im not shaming anyone else who does cause bitch i would love to have a convo about yaoi with you....i was honestly not shaming anyone i was just mocking the fujoshi fangirls the ones that sa "uwu" and ship siblings. and i get that manhwa/yaoi are mostly depicted on the females uneducated pov of a gay relashionship and that manhwa/yaoi is a genre targeting women in general and that it is made for women.( same goes for yuri and otome) but all the people saying' if iyou have a problem with yaoi then get off." i dont have a problem with yaoi, yaoi helped me find out my gender identity and who i really am and im so greatful for that in all honesty i long for the kind of loving relationships these couples have. having cleared this up i would just like to say im sorry for what i said and i dont expect this to change anyones opinion i just wanted to clear the dumb shit i said up.
I completely get this. There are a lot of cases in which some fujoshis tend to fetishize relationships between men anyways. Things get creepy. Like.. imagine in real life people asked you "positions" and shit.. nasty. I think it's important to talk about this kind of thing, since this behaviour is prevalent in yaoi/manga communities. Also, I think ...... 1 reply
honestly those people shouldn’t even be called fujoshi because that’s not what it meant. Fetishizers are fetishizers. I just found out that the negative meaning of fujoshi are used by homophobes and transphobes so ever since, i just call those people fetishizers. And yes i agree the fetishizers really do get out of hand especially when they fet...... reply
Yea! Your opinion is totally valid! I’m so sorry you had to deal with those hateful comments tho. I think it would be cool to add like how fujoshis can stop their negative influence on the gay community! Kinda of like “understand more about the history and current situations of LGBT+ members in order to not let Yaoi create a bias in your views ...... 1 reply
you shouldn’t feel the need to apologize over what you rightfully wanted to criticize and let your frustrations out. speaking my honest opinion, i rather think its dumb that you got hate all because you didn’t include some small text at the end stating your exclusions like it isn’t naturally obvious . basically fujoshis getting butthurt over ...... reply
I apologize in behalf of the toxic fujos. But I completely understand your point. Even I, being straight, gets disgusted and annoyed at mangas or webtoons that portray heavy rape and abuse to women and then that fl falls in live to her rapists or so on, and then the readers romanticize it saying "its only a manga"-- i was like bruh it reflects real...... reply
nah this is fine i mean sometimes when i read yuri and when its clear that the manga is fetishizing women together i get uncomfortable but im a pretty accepting person and some people enjoy it and i have no right shaming them when i know how it feels like to be shamed for enjoying their choice of genre. i want to ask what irked you and what behavio...... 1 reply
