my friend and i got into an argument because i said she needed deodorant because her body smell was so strong it made me suicidal. she got really defensive over it and started pointing out how i dont even use deodorant but i like genetically dont produce body order so her point was invalid. am i in the wrong for telling a rank ass to put on some deodorant.
i'd say you're partly in the wrong , of course i don't have all the context based on this singular paragraph of what happened but your phrasing was rude in general. this could be something your friend is sensitive/insecure about which would explain her getting defensive. it's perfectly understandable to find body odor not fun to be around but you c...... 1 reply
Girl. If you noticed it made her upset why would you still see the situation as if she’s being “unreasonable” or not “getting the point”? Didn’t you stop to think that maybe she felt ashamed or even humiliated by the way u said it? I’m not saying your meant it in that way but maybe thats how she felt.
