When a character spends the whole story plotting revenge and they decide last minute that it would make them the same monster as the antagonist. And like, love that for them but what was the point of all the sacrifice before that. You wasted everyone’s time and are throwing away years of work.

For me, personally, I dislike the BL tropes of innocent, pitiful ukes.
