This brown friend of mine just recently went on a trip to America like bro she could barely walk in the streets of New York for 5 minutes without getting called out by random white people horrendous saying slurs and insults, like they be walking and randomly stop in front of her and mockingly laughing at her… plus some of the streets smelt shit like weed and she almost didn’t see a single black person?? Wth is happening
In many places in America it’s unfortunately normalized to act like an asshole to strangers. Trump winning kinda shows that bigots are still the majority. There’s also very much still remnants of segregation from red lining laws, like some areas of New York might be almost exclusively white or exclusively black or used to be diverse but then we...... reply
