Should I watch The Untamed or read the manhua (MDZS) first?
I really want to watch the untamed but I was wondering if first I should read MDSZ so that I dont get lost when things are going on or if it would be better to just watch the untamed and work it out in the drama,,
if anyone has watch the untamed and/or read MDZS please lmk if I should read the manhua first or just watch the drama (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
i'm also looking for other kdramas/cdramas to watch so if yall have any other recommendations please leave them below

ahahha- now, lemme tell you. The untamed is a Chinese drama based on Mo dao zu shi, Mo Dao Zu Shi is a bl manhua. The untamed has bl parts but its not really bl 1 reply
untamed first. it does a really good job of explaining the plot, and is probably the best introduction to new mdzs fans, whereas the manhua can get confusing at times. untamed gets really addicting really fast, and by the time you finish, you will want more mdzs content, so then you will be able read the manhua, watch the donghua, and read the nove...... 3 reply
In my opinion, you should read the novel first. It's rather long (120-ish chapters) but it's an easy and super enjoyable read, plus the spicy chapters that don't appear in The Untamed hehe (there's a doujinshi published here that features said spicy chapters BUT I'd stay clear from it so as not to spoil the fun if you decide to read the novel ;) ) ...... 2 reply
The Untamed is an adaptation from MDZS so I suggest you read the manhua first since it follows the novel or even better, just read the novel so you will have a better understanding of the plot. 1 reply
The untamed (life action), MDZS (anime/manhua) watch or read it how ever u want.. it doesn't make any difference imo tbh.
There's just one thing u need to do to make sure u quench ur 'MDZS/the untamed' thirst, READ the novel at the end!!! Novel shouldn't be skipped anyhow or at any point! That's how u should wrap it up! 1 reply

In my opinion it's okay to watch the drama first and then read the novel since it is the original source. That's how I did it at least. The drama is pretty understandable by itself, even my mom was able to get what was going on. If you want to start with the other adaptations that'...... reply
In my opinion drama wasn’t that good (though I just watched first 16 chapters, don’t mind it)
There are MDZS manga, anime, drama and novel. (At some point even game)
You can start with any of them but I think it is better to watch the drama first so you won’t lose interest like me. I lost my interest while watching Untamed cuz I read the nov...... 1 reply
