Don't be too concerned about that. Even though it seems like it in the beginning, whatever you decide to study in school doesn't determine the rest of your life: you can work on the same field of your career, or you can decide to study something else later on and work on that, or you can work on a completely different field. As for manga/webtoons, the first one I read was Katekyo/Oshiete Katekyo and it *kinda* got me into them but the one that definitely did it for me was Starfighter Comic.
As for anime, I think it was Attack on Titan or Boku No Hero. I usually watch the anime first then read the manga, so watching these two kinda cemented my love for manga. reply
